EIPGrid Hosts Thai Energy Experts Delegation for a Technical Study Visit on AI-Driven Flexibility and Decarbonization

Energy experts from Naresuan University’s SGtech benchmarked Korea’s energy flexibility market and EIPGrid’s AI Energy Manager to help shape Thailand’s future energy policy.
SEOUL, Republic of Korea, August 2026. EIPGrid, a Seoul-based leader in AI-enabled energy management software and services, hosted a four-day technical study visit for a delegation of researchers from the School of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology (SGtech) at Naresuan University, and Thai manufacturing business representatives. The delegates came with the goal to study one of the world’s most advanced energy flexibility markets, and to see first-hand how AI is being used to turn that market into measurable value for customers and the grid.
Over four working days, the delegation examined how Korea designs and operates flexibility markets at the distribution level, how distributed energy resources are digitally orchestrated and optimized, and how data, communication, and control systems are woven together across market operators, aggregators, and end-use sites. Their goal is practical: to gather evidence that can inform policy recommendations and regulatory development as Thailand moves toward a more flexible, decentralized, and digitally enabled power system.


Inside Korea’s flexibility market
The program paired institutional perspective with hands-on technical depth. The delegation met with Kyung-Hee University and the Korea Power Exchange (KPX), and with other players from across the Korean energy and flexibility sectors.
Alongside these sessions, EIPGrid walked the delegation through its own technology stack: the AI Energy Manager, which unifies PowerSight for energy analytics and diagnostics with EnergySaverAI for AI-driven load optimization, self-demand response, and automated DER orchestration. The emphasis throughout was not only on how the technology works, but on the commercial logic behind it: how flexibility is turned into savings for end users and services for the grid.
The visit also underlined EIPGrid’s growing footprint in Thailand. During the week, the delegation reviewed progress with a large manufacturing company that accepted to be a pilot site for EIPGrid’s AI Energy Manager: a concrete demonstration of how the same tools developed in Korea can be deployed in the Thai market to build local know-how and open new opportunities.
